FAQs
What are the miscellaneous services you provide?
We provide in-house testing, stocking, kitting, labeling, packaging, crating, delivery, and more. If you don’t want to be burdened with simply testing suspect products, adding custom labels to things, or putting things from one box into another for example, we can do those simple tasks for you. We are familiar with designing and using custom foam, boxes, crates, pallets, etc. for any of your unique packaging needs. We have equipment like an automated tube cutter, pipe thread taper, plasma cutter, drill press, paint booth, and a helium leak tester. So we can offer simple services with those tools as well.
What in-house testing capabilities do you provide?
We provide complete in-house testing capabilities to save you time and reduce labor costs. We create custom test fixtures and procedures for hydraulic, electronic, pneumatic, and other applications to ensure your unit or system is functioning properly when it arrives. This includes functional testing, pressure/leak testing, electrical verification, and performance validation. We can provide test reports and create test procedures collaboratively with your team.
Can you develop custom test fixtures for our products?
Yes, we design and build custom test fixtures tailored to your specific product requirements. Whether you need hydraulic pressure testing, pneumatic leak detection, electrical continuity verification, or complex functional testing, our engineers develop fixtures with automated testing sequences, pass/fail criteria, and data logging capabilities to ensure consistent quality control.
What types of systems can you test?
We test hydraulic assemblies (pressure, flow, leakage), electronic systems (continuity, voltage, functionality), pneumatic components (pressure, cycle testing, leakage), fluid control manifolds, control panels, process assemblies, and complete integrated systems. Testing can be performed to your specifications or industry standards.
Can I provide my own test equipment?
Yes, in fact we prefer to use test equipment that you already have, or come up with a dedicated test rig and procedure to simulate real-world performance with your assembly before it ships. Many of our clients also have burn-in or similar pre-shipment procedures that need to be performed.
Do you provide stocking and order fulfillment services?
Yes, we'll stock your product for you, releasing it to you when needed. This saves you valuable floor space, reduces your inventory carrying costs, and shortens lead time. In today's just-in-time, always on-demand world, operating efficiently is a key competitive advantage. We manage inventory levels, handle reorder points, and coordinate deliveries to anywhere you like, including directly to your end customer if preferred.
How does your stocking program work?
We manufacture or source your products, store them in our facility under proper conditions, and release quantities to you based on your scheduled releases and forecast. You maintain low on-site inventory while ensuring reliable supply. We track inventory levels, provide regular reporting, and can implement kanban or min/max replenishment strategies that match your production needs. This is usually facilitated by a blanket purchase order. We can coordinate with your JIT requirements if you have them.
What is a blanket purchase order?
A blanket purchase order is similar to a typical PO, however the quantity ordered is your projected annual usage. We will stock approximately 2-months worth of finished product at all times so you are ensured to have readily available supply. As needed, or on a regular schedule, you then send us “releases” that trigger shipment of a desired quantity. You are only invoiced as product is released, but you are liable for the entire quantity on-hand should you go out of business or cancel the order. Blanket orders ensure even supply for you and limit liability for us as the stocking supplier.
What are the benefits of using your testing and stocking services together?
Combining testing and stocking services creates a seamless quality-assured supply chain. We manufacture, test to your specifications, stock tested units, and deliver on your schedule. This ensures you receive only verified, functional products when you need them, eliminating the need for incoming inspection and reducing your inventory investment while maintaining production continuity.
Can you provide test documentation and certificates?
Yes, we provide complete test documentation including test results, date/time stamps, serial number tracking, pass/fail records, and certificates of conformance. For regulated industries, we can provide validation documentation, material certifications, and calibration records for test equipment. Documentation can be provided electronically or in hard copy format.
What delivery options are available for stocked products?
We offer flexible delivery options including scheduled releases (daily, weekly, monthly), kanban pull systems, demand-based delivery, and emergency same-day delivery for critical needs within our New England service area. We can deliver via common carrier, our own box truck service for local deliveries, or coordinate with your preferred freight forwarder. We can ship internationally as well.
How do these services integrate with your manufacturing capabilities?
Our end-to-end approach means we handle your complete project from parts sourcing to design assistance, building, testing, and fulfillment—all under one roof. This reduces your vendor management burden, ensures quality control throughout the process, and provides single-point accountability for your manufacturing and supply chain needs. We serve as your complete contract manufacturing partner, supporting your team every step of the way.
