Vacuum Products

From vacuum cups to pumps, Pearse Bertram can meet your vacuum needs. Vacuum is a great option for those in the packaging, medical, or life science industries. Vacuum is unique in that special filters, valves, and tubing is required. Pearse Bertram+ can work with your engineers to select the correct components.

Vacuum Cups and Pads

SMC

The ZPT series vacuum cups are available in diameters from 2 to 125mm, 6-cup materials, and 4-cup designs (flat, flat with ribs, deep and bellows), to suit multiple applications. Vertical vacuum entry connections can be made via one-touch fittings or threaded connections. Optional buffers can be ordered with up to 50mm stroke. SMC's ZP2 series vacuum pads are available in diameters from 2 to 340mm, and offer a variety of pad materials and designs. The ZP2 series was designed to standardize special products designed for the ZP series.

Pad types include: miniature pads, compact pads, nozzle pads, multi-bellows pads, sponge pads, mark-free pads, oval pad variations, and heavy-duty pad variations. Optional buffers can be ordered with up to 100mm stroke. The ZP3 line of vacuum cups has a compact pad and the buffer body has been shortened by as much as 2.2" when compared to the ZP series. The optional buffer can be ordered with up to 20mm stroke.

High Vacuum Valves

SMC

High vacuum angle valve series XL provides excellent thermal conductivity results in a uniform temperature for the entire valve body and a marked decrease in the condensation of gases inside the valve.

Smooth vent valve series XVD2 is a normally closed type valve with connection types VCR (male and female) and Swagelok. Port size for the main supply is 1/4" and orifice is 3mm. Materials consist of SUS316L (body and bellows), SUS304 (diaphragm) and FKM (valve and external seal).

Vacuum Generators

SMC

SMC Vacuum Generators use compressed air to generate vacuum using a venturi. Vacuum levels down to -25 inHG (-85kPa) is obtained from single and multi stage units with suction flow greater than 7 SCFM (200 l/min.).

SMC's vacuum generators can be connected via a manifold or used individually. These compact devices can also be customized to integrate suction filters, vacuum switches, and supply/release valves onto the generator. Additionally, SMC's generators can be configured to manage distribution of vacuum from a external vacuum source.

Air-Vac

Air-Vac manufactures both Single Stage and Multistage vacuum generators. Vacuum generators are available as inserts and in a variety of materials, including stainless steel.

Vacuum Regulators

SMC

SMC vacuum regulators offer a variety of options including compact and lightweight design, front or rear mounting of pressure gauge, standard panel mounting capability, adjustment resolution within 0.13kPa, and 1/8" to 1/2" threaded connection port sizes available.

Electro-pneumatic and electronic vacuum regulators control air/vacuum pressure steplessly in proportion to an electric signal. They are light weight in design with a bright and easy to read LED display. The monitor output is available either as analog output or switch output. The ITV series is IP65 equivalent.

Vacuum Sensors and Switches

SMC

SMC vacuum switches provide a completely integrated, digital solution designed to monitor vacuum status. Vacuum sensor and switch outputs are integrated into ultra-compact, lightweight units. Easy push button calibration eliminates the need for tools. Available in either easy-to-read LCD with backlight or LED readouts, which display current measured value as well as set points and output mode information. Outputs are digital NPN or PNP and analog, with simple programming and multiple application features such as failure prediction and window comparator. Vacuum switches can be integrated directly onto many vacuum generators.

Kobold

KOBOLD flowmeters for liquid and gas applications include paddle wheel flowmeters, variable area flowmeters, vortex flowmeters, turbine flowmeters, target flowmeters, oval gear meters, magnetic flowmeters and many more. KOBOLD also manufactures a variety of flow switches and flow transmitters.
